Start by taking stock of everything you have now and appreciating it deeply, remember to give more of yourself, whether it be time, advice, love and support to those around you. When you dream, look past that dream to something even better for yourself and even for others. Don't forget to take better care of your body, mind and soul, get enough rest, eat a bit better than you have been, do things that are exciting and fuel your passions. The only person in this life you need to impress is yourself, self love follows through to every aspect of your life. Be Kind, Compassionate and practice empathy - when you learn to appreciate differences in opinion/perspectives you grow even larger and brighter. Forget about making comparisons, you are as unique as your thumbprint and so is the other person, you can only have your version of bliss so learn to be satisfied with that and let go of past traumas and by all means don't even bother with current fears as those are only illusions of perceived harm that your brain projects in order to keep you one step ahead of the game. Forgive yourself during this time, as well as any others who you perceive have wronged you. Life is only happening through your decisions and actions. Stay committed to your goals and believe that everything is always working out for the highest good of all. No excuses - the story you tell yourself about anything is the key. As Mohamed Ali once proclaimed "I hated every minute of training, but I said - Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." Love yourself more each day by being grateful for your life and your relationships, everyone is operating at their own level awareness and may not necessarily be on yours, give love when in doubt, as the love you receive is in direct proportion to the love you give. - #regrann - #regrann
Enhance The Experience
Meditation chairs can enhance the experience of meditation exploration by allowing you to sit in a comfortable and relaxed position during your meditation session. If you experience back issues or limited flexibility, the chair offers a comfortable alternative to sitting on the floor or in a regular chair.
For those who are just beginning the practice of meditation, a sitting device can be a very effective way of enhancing your focus and concentration. There are different types of chairs available including meditation benches, ergonomically designed tilt chairs and even inflatable cushions.
A meditation bench allows you to sit in alignment without placing any undue pressure on your back. A tilt chair also supports your back while allowing you to remain in the optimum upright position for meditation. Many companies providing meditation supplies also manufacture portable meditation chairs, inflatable cushions and folding benches, so that you can meditate in any setting or environment you choose. A portable chair is an excellent and worthwhile investment if you are continuously on the go.
Meditation chairs have several advantages over sitting on the floor or on a regular chair. Meditation requires harmony of the body and the mind, in the sense that physical discomfort should not be allowed to interfere with the meditation experience. To expand our consciousness and achieve clarity of mind, it is highly important to be as comfortable as possible during the meditation session. Sitting in any one position for a length of time often can cause cramping and distress in the body. Specially designed chairs can provide the proper support and alignment necessary to allow you to get the most out of your meditation experience. It is important to note that regular chairs do not mold to the body in the same way as an ergonomically designed meditation device.
The best chairs have a slight forward angle, which prevents you from slumping during meditation. However, be careful that the chair is not too steeply angled, as this will cause overarching. The ideal tilt should be no more than a few inches. The best option is to purchase a meditation chair that you can adjust according to your height, weight and comfort level. Having an experienced person nearby to guide you through the meditation process and adjust your posture is also a great idea.
A sitting device may be particularly useful if you are practicing Zen meditation, which requires several sitting postures. Zen meditation chairs can be made out of numerous materials and come in several different styles. You can choose the style that best suits you as long as the device enables your diaphragm to contract and expand freely.
Meditation is all about self-discovery and inner peace. Contrary to popular belief, self-denial and physical discomfort detract from rather than enhance the experience. It is difficult to expand our minds and awareness when our legs are cramping up beneath us, isn’t it? A meditation chair is a device which allows us to focus on what is really important during our meditation session. With the proper tools and surroundings, the meditation experience is much more sure to be a positive one.
