What Really Makes Me Tick?
10 Questions To Ask Yourself
When Starting Your Journey Of Self-Improvement

“Be all you can be”, is not always meant for just the Army. We often see ourselves as somewhat contented with our lives the way things are however, of course it is hard to think of anything else when there are real issues to be discussed…Right?

Still, we aspire for something deeper and more meaningful in our lives.

So, we are all slammed with what appears to be a multitude of problems. In all honesty, it should not bother or even hinder us from becoming all we are meant to be. Aspirations that we had as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold onto the dream. They say you cannot teach an old dog new tricks… or can you?
Shall we try?

The following are 10 questions that you can ask yourself as you step into your journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. Answer each as clearly and honestly as you can…YOU are the only one who knows Your Truth!

1. What would I really love?

This is the question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life, and what appears as so little time to even get through the day.

Finding something that you love and are good at can help you realize that first small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth you. Yes, I said worth you!

2. Do I really need to change?
YES!
Take a good look around you at the results you have created in your life right now…go ahead, I’ll wait. Are you happy? Is this how you envisioned your life would be? Be 100% honest with yourself here. If you answered yes, well then that is great…you are doing an awesome job and should keep moving. If you answered no, which statistically most do, I want you to understand first that it is not your fault however, you will Never be able to create a change in your results until you change the mindset that created the results you are currently creating and desire to change. That is just how it is folks! Change in self is required to create change in your results. So simple, yet we choose to make it so complicated.

3. What is the “bright side” in all of this?

With so much that is happening around us, there seems to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. However, we can still see it as something positive without giving it so much scrutiny and judgement. If it is a train at the end of that damn tunnel, jump on and take it for a ride and see where it takes you and what makes the world go around!

4. Am I truly comfortable with what I am doing?

There is always the easy way and the correct way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatever it may be. It does not take a genius to see yourself as someone who is unique, or else we will all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented with and examined.

5. Have I done enough for myself…Have I?

Have you, or is there something more that you should and want to be doing? Discontentment, in every aspect, can be highly dangerous in large doses, however, in small amounts, you will be able to see and do things that you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy with where I am today?

It is an unfair question, so allow it be an answer as well! If you love being a great and loving mom or dad to your children, then kick it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everything you love in life!

7. Am I appealing to other people?

So maybe I do not have an answer to that however, that does not mean I cannot ask it though. Whether you get in better shape, change the clothes you wear, your hair, your attitude towards others, and even your attitude toward yourself, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.
Would You be attracted to You?

8. How much could I have?

I suppose in this case there is no such thing as having too much or too little, it is more about how passionately you really want it. We would ALL like to have lots of money, no denying that, however, the question is how passionate are you about working toward it?

9. What motivates me and gives me life?

What motivates you, what gets you out of bed every morning, what would you do even if you did not get paid for it? It is an answer you have to discover for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy in life however, to choose one, for some, can be the hardest part. It is not like you cannot have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that is it. Just try it piece by piece.

10. What Really Makes You Tick?

So, what really makes you tick, have you figured it out yet? You can be. do, have, and create anything you always desired, but to have the thinking that attaining your dream will be very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-discovery and self-improvement are not just about the physical or philosophical changes you undergo It is something that you must really want and desire for your life.
